Subcommittees
Our subcommittee work is extremely important to the Pine Point community. We are always looking for more subcommittee members, so if you see something you are interested in, please send us a message!

Event Planning and Fundraising
We will be planning some events and coming up with fundraising ideas throughout the year!
Membership Committee
We’re tracking membership for full and diverse coverage of the community — including full time and seasonal residents, visitors, and businesses. Preparing for annual membership renewal. Setting up tables at local businesses to share association information and membership recruitment.

Maintenance of Sidewalks/Crosswalks
We meet annually with Public Safety, Public Works, and town officials to discuss sidewalk replacement on East Grand Ave, seasonal repainting of all crosswalks, and clearing of safety signing in the neighborhoods.
Public Safety
We meet annually with Scarborough Public Safety to discuss traffic, pedestrian issues, parking, beach patrol, street patrol, and all other issues related to safety for a residents and visitors.

Hurd Park
The committee, in collaboration with Community Services, is making improvements to Hurd Park, including replacing fencing and adding a pedestrian opening to guide beachgoers safely. Public Works is also adding a walkway along Avenue 5 to keep pedestrians off the road and out of the main parking lot. A catch basin and culvert are being relocated to make room for a new bus/trolley stop near King Street. Two automatic gates will be implemented within the next 12 months. A new entrance on Avenue 5 will include separate "Pay" and "Pass" lanes to manage heavy traffic, with staff on hand during busy days.
Maintenance of Snowberry Park
We are meeting with new Community Services Director, Nick Cliche, to review the needs of Snowberry Park, such as vegetation maintenance, dog waste bagging, trash receptacles, and the replacement of the two Informational Kiosks (Beach Regulations and Pine Point History).

By Laws
We recently updated the association bylaws to include new information pertaining to officers and directors' terms and election schedule. The committee will review the by laws annually for any needed edits or changes. Please click here to review by laws.
Beautification
We plant flowers and landscape where needed to spruce things up and make it attractive for residents and visitors.

Beach Issues and Access
We are actively working to preserve all current right of ways and benches around Pine Point. We are also in talks with the town about beach cleaning and preservation.

History
Pine Point has a wonderful and interesting history - John Thurlow is our resident historian!
